Pegau Club Cocktail

September 14, 2010 (part of Cocktail Chronicle)

I love cocktails that have bitters in them. Just a couple of drops add complexity and structure to a drink. The slight bitterness is like a reset button and every sip it refreshes the palate.

Finally I got a bottle of Fee Brother’s orange bitter and it tastes a world different from the Stirrings Blood Orange bitter I have kept for years. Much less sweet and just pure orange essence.

This is is a strong drink, even for me.

Pega Club Cocktail from in the Land of Cocktails (Makes 1):

  • 2 oz Tanqueray gin
  • ¾ oz lime juice
  • ¾ oz Bols Orange curacao
  • 1 dash of Angostura bitter
  • 2 dashes of Fee Brothers’ orange bitter
